Job Description
What You Get To Do:
The Registered Nurse's (RN) main functions for this role will be to provide primary health care, monitor health conditions, plan long-term care needs, administer medication, daily usage of medical equipment, perform minor medical operations, advise patients on their illness, care and provide continued duty of care. This role does require some travel (25%) throughout the state, sometimes as far as Pikeville, KY.
- Training of new and current staff on state regulated trainings such as medication administration, wound care, CPR/First Aid, etc.
- Conducting routine site visits: doing assessments, counseling of medication administration, and documenting progress utilizing Therap.
- Ensuring that everyone receives quality, individualized health care management, resulting in their optimal health - be an advocate for persons served
- Assuring health care documentation and reporting meets licensing, contracting requirements, and organizational policy.
- Promoting the concept of teamwork and facilitate appropriate involvement of team members to promote quality healthcare supports.
- Acting as a health/medical resource for staff, training and delegation of staff.
Qualifications
What Makes You A Great Fit:
- Registered Nurse licensed by the Kentucky board of nursing .
- Proven 1 year of nursing experience (can include schooling).
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
- Medication administration
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver license
- Current auto liability insurance
- Reliable transportation
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual, physical, and behavioral disabilities.
